An official companion to Secret Bases. Google Street View coverage of UK is updated with a massive data upload in March 2010. Plus a Google Earth KML/KMZ placemark file detailing all locations on Parts 1 through 5. Further updated 25th April 2010 with full Ordnance Survey map data support too. New feature added 28th May 2010: remembering the last location using cookies, when you exit and then subsequently revisit the page. Another new featured added 2nd June: full gazetteer search for places and postcodes.

Author of Secret Bases features in Episode 7 – Tuesday 30th March 2010 – of new BBC Radio 4 documentary series "On the Map" about suspicious deletions from Ordnance Survey maps. Recorded at a secret nuclear bunker in January 2010. Series of ten 15-minute programmes started Monday 22nd March 2010 3.45pm and ran every weekday at the same time until Friday 2nd April 2010.

Consider an extremely secure enclave within a USAF base somewhere in the English countryside. It has always been one of those sensitive sites routinely "airbrushed" from both 1:50000 and 1:25000 scale Ordnance Survey (OS) maps. But now, in a new revision of the data, after Google Earth has been revealing what is really beneath that suspicious blank space, the OS map of the base has been updated to show the full reality.
